PAULA SWALLOW, MANAGER

Paula has in excess of 34 years experience in the processing of escrows and is currently employed as Manager at Advantage One Escrow in Fountain Valley. Prior to her position at Advantage One Escrow, Paula spent 24 years as Vice President and Manager of Discovery Escrow Co. which opened in Huntington Beach in 1989. She is well versed in the various aspects of the Escrow Industry, keeping abreast of pertinent laws, procedures and processing in the Escrow Profession as well as in the Real Estate and Lending industries. In addition to Resale, Commercial, Investment, REO’s and Short Sales, her background also includes complex transactions such as Exchanges, Land Trusts and Holding Escrows. Paula also managed JCS Service Exchange, Inc., an Accommodator Company for 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges,
for 15 years.

Paula has achieved the Professional Designation of Certified Escrow Officer from the California Escrow Association and is a member of the American Escrow Association and the Long Beach Escrow Association. Paula is currently serving her fourth term as a Director for the Escrow Institute of California which represents the independent escrow companies throughout California. She has served as the organizations Education Co-Chair which duties include bringing educational workshops and speakers to the Institutes annual conference. Paula is currently serving as President Elect and will take over her position as President in November for 2012-2013 year.

I just wanted you to know that I was so impressed with Linda Hoshaw’s “Above and Beyond the Call of Duty” attitude with my client, Mr. Speicher on Friday. Mr. Speicher is the seller for my Yarmouth listing in HB. He’s about 80 something and came in to bring Linda his escrow instructions. He’s had some problems walking recently so, in the torrential rain, he came with his walker to bring in his documents to be notarized. Once he was finished with his meeting with Linda, the rain just wasn’t letting up so Linda offered to go get his car and bring it right up front for him. He negotiated the rain in his walker and she made sure he got situated and got all his paperwork safely inside the car. I’m sure she probably got soaked, but she was so kind to take such extra special care for my/her client. I really appreciated her “Above and Beyond the Call of Duty”!

This is such a great example of what I enjoy so much about working with Linda Hoshaw, and Advantage One Escrow, for all these years!
